Is the April 8th race that was rained out completely (1st scheduled pts race) goint to count as a drop for everyone? Why are we still dropping 2 if we are only running 11 races if we get the rest in? Would the rain out on Apr 8th not count as a drop? Then we drop 1 instead of 2. Not sure how it has been done in the past when not all 12 events are run.

If the race was completely called off, such as the April 22 race, where no one entered for the day, then that race was wiped off the schedule. As for the April 9 race, racers entered the race and showed up. They were awarded 3 enter points. That race was counted as part of the now 11 race series and that race is elligible as a drop. We will drop each racer's worst 2 races. If for instance, we do not open the track on August 13 and call the race completely off and not take entries, then if will be wiped off the schedule. At that point, it will be the best 8 of 10 races.

whats the deal with the people with zeros gets to drop the zero and gain points positions. When i have to drop numbers for showing up to all the races. Its like its better to miss two races

That was my original point. Seems it is that way alot of places but I agree, we showed up and waited and get penalized by it.

i think if people decided not to come and recieve there three points the should not be able to use those as drop they should use there worst 2 races that they showed up at like we have to do.

Any points for coming to all the races? I never liked or understand that rule. Like the person 3rd place guy in points is 3 points out of first is in first because the first place guy gets 6 points off their points for the lowest points mean 3 rounds out of first and the 3rd place guy is getting 2 zeros off their points..

The lowest that should be taking is 3.. I supporting and giving my money to mooresville.. 80 dollars more so I can get docked 6 points and they get none taking away

Mooresville didn't just put this rule in their points program!! You have to understand how points work when the season starts if you are going to race for a championship!! Better be glad the guy in first place (now) mist two races because he probably would have more of a lead!! ;D

i think ur wrong on that if he would have been to all the races he would have took points away instead of zeros haha which would have made him closer to everybody else

Nothing has changed. A missed race is a zero. It always has been for years and years. The idea of dropped races was put in place years ago to help people that have other commitments such as family functions, work, weddings, funerals, etc, that will keep them from hitting all the races. This way, they can still run for a championship. Making all the races is still better because you have the opportunity to make more than the 3 enter points, where a racer that missed a race did not have that chance. A round win adds to your score.

Kurt u do the math if u had two 3's where the zeros are u would drop 6 points which would only be in the lead by 1 point hahaha
