This is disappointing. After several weeks of waiting for a schedule to come out that was "carefully set up to not conflict with other local area tracks" the first few points races are stacked right on top of Farmington Dragway's first few points races.Farmingtons schedule has been out for over a month. I understand tracks compete for racers dollars as any business should, but we could have had the opportunity to run points at 2 different tracks, supporting both. Mooresville,Farmington,Piedmont, and Rockingham all got together for the Coalition which showed the tracks wanted to work together, and then you do this? Piedmonts schedule was out first and they have traditionally always had points races on Sundays leaving the option open to run 2 tracks. Way to go guys.

jeremyyouker- If you look at the two schedules you will notice its hard not to hit on top of a few races while also trying to stay off other bigger events going on at some other local tracks. We do understand your frustration and we are sorry. It was not done to make racers choice one track over another, we do try to always work with local tracks its just the way somethings landed. We have tried to build a full schedule that will offer a lot of great events. Thank you for your support of Mooresville Dragway!

Jason parker
You will have the new CHRA and they will have 5 events to run 6,7,pte. We didn't think the pte series from last year would work against CHRA.
Thank you for the support and we look forward to seeing you soon! Virginia & Bo Bohanon

I agree. You guys need to throw this schedule away and start over. With Farmington only 30 mins away you guys still scheduled over 3/4 of your races on top of Farm. 1-2 races on top are managable, but there ARE NOT ENOUGH CARS TO RACE AT BOTH PLACES!!!!!! I say it every year, racetrack KILL THERESELVES with there crappy scheduling! The first several months are almost a carbon copy of the Farms and they had there schedule out months ago. Waiting this long to see a schedule was dissapointing and now this is just pathetic. This is screwing racers that run for points at both tracks, which is close to 50% of us. Poor turnout = Poor Scheduling. Please START OVER or your guys are going to lose a bunch of loyal customers.

It's absolutely ridiculous. We run 4 cars and wanted to race both tracks for points. It was wait wait wait because the other tracks get earlier and earlier with their schedules and we want to schedule non conflicting races with local area tracks". Edwards understands. Did Mooresville talk with Farmington? What's the real story here? Racing is a hobby to most, me included. With the investment it takes, we pretty much need schedules out as early as possible to plan our seasons. The bracket finals were in November and you guys release a schedule 3 weeks before it's go time? I understand scheduling is a huge undertaking but come on, the tracks need to communicate better than this. We all get to choose where we race, but this strips a lot of people of a choice that could have easily been avoided. There's still so many "to be announced dates" on the schedule.

In the 2 years that I have been racing for points in Mooresville, there has ALWAYS been a conflict with Farmington and these schedules seem to be similar to the others. Besides, each track will drop 2 points days, I think. So, at the very least, you will be able to hit 100% at Mooresville and 90% at Farmington. That doesn't seem so bad to me.

It doesent seem so bad until you factor in the bonus points for attending all 12 events. Bottom line is,it could have been avoided with communication and higher priority to get a schedule out earlier for the racers to plan. Again,im not taking away the hard work it takes to make up a schedule,im sure its a daunting task for all involved. There are 12 points races at each track. seems to me that the process should be to take care of the racers that support you by getting together, schedule the points races and fill in the remaining weekends for special events. Year after year its the same thing with what appears to be a simple fix. I also understand the tracks fight for the racers dollars, but when your in such close proximity to each other, there are far more benefits to working together. As was pointed out in an earlier post, there are only so many cars around that will run the points.

Ok I read your post and I have both schedules in front of me and I have went over them, unless I am missing something here are the only dates that conflict against both tracks Points series, which is not over 3/4 of the schedule. If you will notice on Mooresville schedule the ones that say bracket races are NOT points races. Our points races say point race #______
there are only 3 dates 4/5, 4/19, 5/3 that are on top of each other and we have apologized for them but it comes down to where there's just not enough days in the first part of the season to not have a couple dates on top of somebody's event. Each track has a drop race policy which two of those dates could be used so that leaves only one. We will NEVER be able to make everyone happy but we have tried to set a full schedule of events. Please feel free to call us and I will try to better explain and answer any questions you may still have. Jody Leazer 704-431-0227
Thank you for your comment and for your previous years of your support. Mooresville Dragway

Ok, So 3/4 is more than it actually is, but the fact of the matter is that still 3 races overlap and racers can only drop 2. If i do the math that means we can only run for a championship at 1 track. If racers know they are at a dis-advantage then they are not going to show up at the opposing track. Please move some of the dates at the beginning of the year around to help out the racers that still support you. You need to make every move necessary to help get racers in the gate weather it is your scheduling, weekly payouts or points fund. Not to mention that there was no formal banquet ever announced. ADRL didnt pay there racers and now there gone for good, every year fewer racers come to this track although it is one of the best racing surfaces around due to different problems such as this every year. Im not judging and Im sure your doing what you think is best, but listen to your racers and give them what they want because thay pay your bills and keep your gates open.
